The Paul & Carol David Foundation
Awards Scholarships to
52 Stark County High School Seniors
The Paul & Carol David Foundation recently recognized 52 Stark County high school seniors at its first annual David Scholar dinner at Glenmoor Country Club.
The 2004 David Scholars were accompanied to the dinner by their parents, grandparents, or mentors where they received an award for being chosen as recipients of a four year,
renewable scholarship of $4,500 per year. The 2004 David scholars join previous recipients, bringing the current active David Scholars to 100 students.
The David Scholar Program
was established in 1980 by Paul David of Massillon, Ohio and his family. The goal of the program is to aid and assist qualified graduating high school students who, due to financial constraints,
would find it difficult, if not impossible, to further their education at an accredited school. Since the start of the David Scholar Program, hundreds of students from the Stark County, Ohio
area have been awarded scholarships by the Foundation to pursue their post secondary academic goals. The David Scholar Program grants scholarships, renewable for up to four years, to Stark County high school
seniors attending an accredited college or university in the continental United States.
